6 March

Hey everybody,

It was our last full day here and we really enjoyed it! First we went on an aboriginal tour with two tour guides. One was a personal trainer and the other one was an aboriginal. So I thought that we were going to do fitness or something haha. But for real, they were so nice and taught us about the plants and the medicines that are made of them. They maybe even have a medicine for Corona because 108 people in Belgium might need it 😜. At the end of the tour one of the guides gave me a leaf of a
tree to use against mosquitos. Instead I used it to scare Isaline who's kind of scared of everything, including spiders. I put it against the back of her leg and she screamed like she had seen a monster hahaha. It was so funny.

We also went to Bondi Beach. Me (Lendl), Maaike, Isaline, Aïsha, Liam and Fien went for a swim but the others didn't. Boring people 🙄😜. They were just scared of the "sharks" in the ocean. When I went back to the group I opened Netflix and watched a very appropriate movie : The Meg (a movie about the megalodon, the biggest shark that ever lived). We also bought some Bondi Beach merchandise before we left. Ps: Miss Tytgat took a wrong turn because of Google maps and we got back 40 minutes later than expected, thank you miss Tytgat 😘.

After all, it was a great day. I'm going to miss being together with this group. We're still going to see each other but it will be different. I love you guys ♥️ and thanks for the amazing adventure!

Goodnight 🌙

5 March

Hello everyone, I'm going to tell you about our rainy day. After we got breakfast, we walked to our bus, where we met our friendly busdriver and guide for the day, Les. Whilst we were driving, he gave us information about the city. He did talk the entire busdrive, to our annoyance. We didn't sleep a lot because of the time difference with Perth. So we slept on the bus. We walked through the Blue Mountains, we couldn't look far because it was foggy. But we did enjoy our walk trough the rainforest. Our guide had the brilliant idea to climb up on a waterfall. Which a few of us did, but we did end up with soaked socks. After our walk we went to a little village called Leura, where some of us ate a kangaroo burger. Then we went to Scenic World where we saw The Three Sisters rock formation, we didn't see them at first. But luckily the clouds moved away a bit later. We saw an amazing waterfall when we were on the cable lift. We also went on the steepest railway, but the ride didn't take very long.
We've had an amazing day in the Blue Mountains. Tomorrow will also be amazing. Goodnight!

3 & 4 March

Yesterday we travelled from Perth to Sydney by plane. Because of the time difference we lost 3 hours, so we didn't feel tired at all. To end our day we went to the Sydney Tower Eye: a skyskraper of 305 metres with 360° views of the city. Unfortunately it was a little cloudy, so we didn't see very far.

Today I'm going to tell you about the first day we were in Sydney. First we had some breakfast and after that we walked (iN tHe PoURing RAiN 😞) to the bus. First of all we went to the Sydney Opera House. It was sooo nice. The history of how the building was made was really interesting, even though the guy who made it never showed up. The style of the building was old but at the same time very modern.

After that we went to the Hard Rock Cafe , bought everything we needed and went to get something to eat.
Then we went to the war memorial, visited the museum that came with it. The memorial was big and impressive. I think this was by far one of the prettiest we've visited.

For the rest of the evening we had some free time and could go shopping. After that we had dinner and went back to the hotel.

Goodnight everyone, xxx Jasmine

Hi everyone, I’m Maaike and I’m going to tell you about our day. We started the day with breakfast at the hotel and after that we walked through Perth. We walked among all the tall buildings and passed places with beautiful views.

We also walked to the war memorial where Aïsha and I had to read our poems, the war memorial also had a beautiful view. After the memorial, we went to the DNA tower and then we had lunch.

We have walked a lot through different parts of Perth. After lunch we visited The Bell Tower, where we were shown around by a guide who told us about the history of the bells and how they work. It was actually quite interesting! We were also allowed to ring the bells ourselves. It was not that easy because some bells were very heavy.

We also had some free time to go shopping in the shopping streets of Perth.

For dinner we ate Chinese / Vietnamese and tonight we will make our bags to leave early tomorrow to Sydney.

Hi everyone, I'm Fien and I will tell you something about today. In the morning, we ate something small and after that we drove to Fremantle prison and we got a tour with information about the prisoners and their residence.

After the tour, we drank something and drove on to The War Memorial in Fremantle. It was a large, impressive obelisk. I read For the Fallen by Robert Laurence Binyon and then we drove on to Fremantle Markets, where we had some time to eat and shop. I ate a chicken kebab 😉. Some of us bought some souvenirs for their family and some of us bought some food.

We went to The Great Southern Hotel in Perth and prepared ourselves for a swim. We slid off the slide, but actually, most of the time we lay in the sun because we all want a tan 😉.

In the evening, we went to a restaurant from Jamie Oliver: Jamie's Italian. We ate a delicious pasta. Some of us also ate a dessert. After a great day, we went to the hotel to go to sleep. Goodnight everyone!
